Please allow me to introduce myself and let you know a few things that are going on at the Delaware Church of Christ in Christian Union (DCCCU) in Delaware, Ohio.  I am Rev. William (Bill) Benner and I am the new pastor at the church.  I accepted this position in July 2007 and, along with my wife Becky and our son Brian, have now moved into the community.

Our family served for nearly twenty years with our denomination's missionary department in both Papua New Guinea and the Caribbean, and I have been an associate pastor at Winchester CCCU for ten years.  My wife Becky and I bring our gifts and a wide variety of experience to the church, along with a deep passion to see people truly experience a relationship with God.

Every Sunday, Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday Worship Service is at 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. is our mid-week Bible Study.  Becky is currently leading the Bible Study for 1 Peter.  If you have not yet found a church home, I hope that you will check us out.  We try to do our best to treat people the way we would want to be treated, so hopefully you'll experience a warm and friendly atmosphere.  Most of all, I hope you'll feel this is a place that you can experience God.

CHURCH ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE

You may be asking yourself why does the church need an administrative office and an office manager? What is it that this person does?

The first and foremost responsibility of the office manager is to support Pastor Bill so that he may have time for his other pastoral duties. These include: preparing sermons, visiting shut-ins and people that are in the hospital among other things.  Another role that this person serves is to be the secretary for all the ministry leaders of the church. This is a big role as we have numerous ministry leaders. Other things the office manager does are:

answer the phone
sort mail
make phone calls that the ministry leaders can't make as most of them work during the day
prepare the FaithSteps (our weekly bulletin)
serve as a liaison between different people in the church
prepare various reports
various other office duties.

Chip Dever is serving as office manager at the present time. He is in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
